Diana Midmer\t- Trustee<\/h3>

I am a retired chartered town planner with experience in local government. I became involved with RAKAT CT in 2001 as a bus driver for one of RAKAT CT\u2019s enterprise schemes operating in Barnes Mortlake and Sheen. I soon became aware what a valuable service a community minibus performs enabling everyone affordable access to travel and I was very pleased to get involved as a Trustee of RAKAT CT and be able to help the truly dedicated members of the charity\u2019s staff as required.\n\nThe pleasure a group gets from an outing is wonderful to see - from those people with mobility and accessibility problems to children on their way to activities outside school. \n\nThe charity has grown in the 20 years I have been driving and changed along the way and the Trustees provide a guiding hand whenever needed. I would recommend anyone with a similar interest in community transport and community welfare to get involved as a Trustee. <\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Stephen Baughan - Trustee<\/h3>

Back in October 1996 I joined Richmond & Kingston Accessible transport as it was known then when it was reinvented from the ashes of Kingston & Richmond Accessible transport. The Charity was started again by the Chief Officer of Kingston Voluntary Action (KVA) and a local entrepreneur from grants from LBRuT and RBK of \u00a315,000 purchasing the original and other minibuses - 5 in total. As an accountant my position was the treasurer and I did this on a voluntary basis whilst working as Financial Controller of Bentalls PLC until I left in 1999 when I went into business on my own to assist local organisations in the voluntary sector, some 6 over the years representing the voluntary sector, homelessness, transport, older people, youth and citizens advice which has continued to date where I am now retiring.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Patrick Leaney - Trustee<\/h3>

I am a chartered chemical engineer and retired 6 years ago after 35 years working for major oil and chemical companies in the US, France and the UK. I became a RAKAT CT trustee in 2016 and enjoy immensely the opportunity it provides me to apply my knowledge and skills to such a worthy cause. It is easy to see how this kind of service is so needed by the community. I also volunteer as a driver and the enjoyment and gratitude I see when our customers \u2013 both young and old - use our service\u2026 is priceless<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Susanna Bellino - Trustee<\/h3>

I'm currently a civil servant working on tax relief reform and have worked in a number of government departments including HM Treasury and the Ministry of Justice, as well as in the private sector.\n\nI'm new to RAKAT CT but have already been so impressed by the work of the organisation in bringing people together and supporting local support groups. Given the year we've all been through, the role RAKAT CT can play in bringing communities together and supporting those most vulnerable is absolutely vital. RAKAT CT plays such an important role in making sure no one is left behind and long may it continue to do this. <\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Neil Ritchie - Trustee<\/h3>

I am proud and privileged to act as a Trustee of RAKAT CT and have held this position for a number of years. The charity provides accessible and affordable transport services for a large number of charitable and community based organisations in Kingston and Richmond. The services provided enable the users to reach places which may otherwise be inaccessible or difficult to access by other means of transport. It is satisfying to be able to assist in governance and other matters relating to the charity and to help to ensure that the excellent services which it has to offer continue for future generations.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Caroline Carlton - Trustee<\/h3>

I am an independent management consultant having previously worked as a civil servant within HM Treasury. I am currently Chair of the Board of Trustees. RAKAT CT is a small locally focussed charity providing invaluable services to Richmond and Kingston-upon-Thames. I am proud to work with such a dedicated team of staff within the charity. Despite challenges faced in maintaining a fleet of vehicles it is a rewarding role knowing what a difference each trip makes for our service users particularly those in vulnerable groups. I live in Kingston (having previously resided in Richmond) and personally know people who have benefitted from using RAKAT CT services. I share with the other Trustees a desire to ensure that these services continue for current and future generations<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
